Headliner Installation and foam squares

Hi all,

I had a search but could not find any info on the foam squares included when purchasing a new 40 series headliner (as seen in image).

Can someone guide me in the right direction as to where and how to install these?
I would assume that they are for the corners, but I just want to be sure as I only have one shot at sticking this to the roof!

Can you call the mfg. and ask them what they are for? Perhaps they are drink coasters?

I didn't use them. I mocked it up with and without the pads and it looked about the same both ways. I figured going without would make the installation easier
