I've read that these bulbs blew away most competitors far as performance they put these bulbs up against. CBI suppose to be the best rated at 5500k & the suppose to be better

Osram CBI are some of the best on the market! I'm just kinda a Phillips purist. I've always gotten the best longevity/performance out of them so I go with what I know. Ultimately (depending on grade of bulb), the difference between the osrams and the Phillips is usually about ~100-200 lumens (Osrams being a tad brighter), but I've never been able to tell IMO. Even with being compared next to each other.

If I'm beside a factory oem hid vehicle & both our beams is reflecting off a white vehicle in front of us. I noticed mine would be a lot whiter & theirs would appear yellow.

I've looked for months for sc430 projectors for under $300 and found nada, so I ordered TSX projectors (already have the clear lenses), D2S ignitors and Philips 85122 (4300K) bulbs from TRS using their cyber monday codes. Even with clear lenses, the stock projectors are horrible and aren't nearly as efficient as the morimoto H1 projectors I've used in my last few vehicles.

I'll throw the new H1 morimoto XB bulbs I bought into some MH1 projectors mounted in 7x6 housings for my YJ wrangler. Shouldn't all carbureted vehicles have HID retrofits?:flush:

It's a website called hidillusionz I think I spelled it right. But they still have SC430 projectors posted on they're site for sale or do like I did. I went on hid planet on got mine from a user posting them on sale. Or use S2000 projectors.

I was fortunate & blessed to meet the guy who I purchased mine from. Projectors + CBI bulbs for $250. Went on hidplanet & looked in their classified section

I'm on hidplanet too. It and the headlight junkies facebook page are great resources to learn about this stuff. Your writeup thead is one of the threads that convinced me to go full projector swap!

I had to do something different. I got tired of my standard halogen bulb burning out on the driverside. The wires got so hot they burn the bulb out. I experimented with the morimoto kit. Big difference from halogens. Got tired of buying different color temperature bulbs for brightness. Then on rainy days I lose my light beam. All problems solved

My end results. Awesome light spread. Don't lose light in rain, fog, or snow.

Hi everybody, I have decided to do the TRS retrofit in 35w. Hopefully I wont have a problem completing it in my '00 LC. Quick question though- as far as the stock high beams, parking lights, and fog lights go, what bulbs do you replace those with to have them match the color of the HID bulbs?

I am assuming you would go all LED in these? At around the same color temperature? I found Philips Xtreme vision 360 parking bulbs at 4000k.

Also, does anybody know anybody who can do this retrofit for me in or around Atlanta?

thanks!
