I'm posting so I don't forget, and because I will lose my notes and this goes hand in hand with an HID relay that isn't garbage.
LC low beam only, LX has different in car connector for low beam.
This info/parts is above and beyond the quality of the 1 or 2 dollar examples available all over the place with the black plastic females. Most importantly the terminals that come with those sets are what cause all the problems. These would be the ones your HID ballasts are connected to and whatever else you got, LED stuff, high beam splitters, fog lights, bumper lights, HID relays, etc.
9006 female LC low beam and fog light.
Female specific catalog here, APTIV site (female low beam 9006) female is defined as what terminals are inserted into the connector/housing. The is the connector that is already in your car.
delphi/aptiv female housing part number 12059181 metripack 280 sealed grey 2 position. tiff sheet points out 9006 bulb base. This housing is over the top better when connecting up to ballasts, and bulbs of course.
Wire seals, many colors, purple is for 22-18 gauge, Part number 15324985 (tight on 18 gauge) tan is for 18-14 gauge, part number 15324984 (loose on 18 gauge)
terminals, part number 12077412 these are not the silver ones. These are abour 10 cents I think. these are good for 10 awg down to 18 awg, assuming 2.13mm2 10 gauge, and 1.14mm2 18 gauge conductor diameter
retainer secondary lock, part number 12059185 blue retainer lock that goes on the end of the connector.

9006 male LC low beam
9006 male connector part number 12084166 link here APTIV site (low beam male 9006)
seals are the same for smaller wire part number 15324985 purple and 15324984 tan
terminals 12048159 .5-,8 mm2 - fine for 22-18 gauge. Definitely too small for 12 gauge. For relay applications (HID) 16awg or smaller is fine for triggers. All variations of terminals are in the link. I can't offhand think f why anyone would need male 9006 connectors with anything bigger than 16, and that's a stretch. But 14 awg gxl and 12 awg gxl is what I'm using on hid relays.
terminals 12129497 good for 12-14 gauge considering OD of .245-3.8 mm2
A metri-pack crimper with weather seal works fine. Others will work also.
Female high beam 9005 LC and LX next post, when I get there next week I think
