Headlamps -- what do you have?

This is what I'm currently using, primarily for caving. The front helmet mounted light and associated battery is a Taglite I. The light head is a Nite Lite model with a halogen bulb. With the application of a little silicon it can be made to be waterproof. The battery is a rechargeable gel and with a full charge will go 8-10 hours.

As a backup I have a mini-mag shock-corded to the helmet side. The standard bulb has been swapped over to a LED. Not the brightest light but good to have. About three years ago I had to negotiate about 2 miles of cave passage just with this light after the main light failed.

As a backup I'm carrying a Princeton Tec Apex and have also been using this light for general purposes. Good in the caves, good in the woods, and good under the hood.

Purely for the comedic value, I offer a picture of the Ultimate Headlamp. A couple years ago during a 24 Hour mountain bike race, one of the team was feeling down. In an attempt to bolster his spirits, I duct taped my 15 million candlepower Cyclops searchlight to my helmet. After an appropriate build up about the 'secret weapon' I had devised for the coming night portion of the race I came running up with this. Later that night, I managed to ride to the start line with it and had a crowd of people doubled over with laughter. My neck hurt for a week - the thing has a lead acid battery in it the size of a motorcycles. These things put out sooo much light they are useless for anything but entertainment. Even the humidity in the air causes so much light blowback you can't see what you're illuminating.
