Headlamp switch assembly replacement

Hey yall,

Lights quit working in my 62, after some troubleshooting I determined it was the switch. Followed a few older threads here, I attempted cleaning the contacts on cleaning my oem switch with no luck.

I dove into a few other threads and from another user’s suggestion here replaced it with a Ultrapower TW35 switch from Rockauto. A quick replacement and I have lights again!

Thankful for all the wisdom in here, this forum has been a life saver with my 100 series now and this rusty old FJ!

Glad it worked!
For me it was a short term solution. Mine is a daily driver and after only a month the switch for the headlight went out on the TW35 from **ckauto. I like using the ** in reference since I've had several items that didn't last. Ended up getting an OEM off the classified section.
