Me too. That's why the mod done by C-Dan, photoman, and MTS was great! They inject water/methanol and can bump the boost for even *more* HP and torque. :D

Personally, I agree with Rick's approach to building up his truck. Even at 6,000 ft the 212HP is enough for me right now. I want his 35's, then a winch, and some more goodies. Pristine will have a S/C some day but for now it's the basic (proven) off-roading accessories.

The purpose of my "counterpoint" post was to address LX-Mikey's stated desire for more HP/torque and the approach he was taking. It just seems much more cost effective to grab the low-hanging fruit (100HP) offered by forced induction. Spending thousands for 10 HP here and 5 HP there just seems futile when these proven options are available.

NW, I agree that "more is better" when it comes to choice in the market place, however we and our cruisers are a very small market. Guys like Christo have stepped in and filled a niche market. Much to our gain.
I am discovering that just adding a s/c is not the end all and be all. Especially with 4.88s and 35's. Doing so brings up issues. Myself I look at it as a puzzle. I am trying to get the best out of the 80 off road, but I also want to be able to cruise comfortably down the highway. These two goals are in opposition to each other, but I feel that if a good solution cannot be found in the 80's, it cannot be found anywhere.
Still working on the puzzle,
Sean
