Hdj81 fusible link blows instantly

hey guys

I keep blowing the black fusible link evrytime I try to crank..

Everything else seems to be working fine..

Any ideas?

Better trace the wiring!
You must be shorting to ground. If possible undo any sketchy wiring you or the PO attempted.
For short term testing use a self reset type breaker or an inline fuse rather than blowing fusible links.
From memory that wire goes under the wiper fluid container.

Definitely a short creating heat. Time to get out the wiring diagram and multimeter

- could this be a FAULTY ROTARY ignition key switch internals ?

or

- starter solenoid itself maybe too ?

Personally, I'd probably have the starter tested first.
Its easy enough to do. Take it to a good remanufacturing shop, and see what they find.
