When I select reverse on my '91 there is a beeping sound inside the vehicle. Is this normal on these? Is it to remind me that I'm in reverse? Thought it might be one of those radar parking distance things but it isn't.

It actually is to remind you that you are in reverse. You know like when the light turns from green straight to red and you skid though the crosswalk and then back up to the stopline. It reminds you to shift back to drive before the light turns green again and you back up over the hood of the Hyundai behind you. Personally, I like doing that so I'm going to hunt the beeper down and kill it.

Does anyone have the location of this fcking beeper? I am gonna rip it the hell out of my truck. I do not like hearing it while doing long backups (such as reaching the end of an overgrown trail and finding a bridge out, then having to back up for 1km) And I definitely don't need reminding that I'm in reverse.

Lmao, no but what about if you forget that your sunroof is open and it rains? will you call it a fxxxing beeper then
Would be interesting to know where it is though.
Cheers

That's the only quality function of that damn beeper... and that doesn't work for me! (the sunroof warning)![]()

Hahaha I see your point then, I know LanceCruisers beeps no matter if the roof is open or not... I guess they just go haywire after awhile
Put the T.Case in N and the truck in reverse and hunt around, I don't think it would be buried that far into the dash.

I am looking to remove mine on HDJ. I wonder, will my spare LX450 cluster swap out just as easily, and give me MPH?i found the beeper while replacing the "D" light. its grafted to the back of the gauge cluster right above the trans position lights.
