I’ve been searching around for a few items as I debate a several things to do to my 78FJ40. I stumbled upon Ali Express and am curious if anyone had purchased any significant parts from the site with success? Meaning, the quality side of things.

I saw doors, half doors, barn doors, etc.

Any feedback? Thanks!

I have been dealing with tariffs a bunch lately. Not a huge deal but some countries are more expensive than others. Items from China will require a 57.6% tariff plus whatever fee the shipping company tacks on for the service. DHL charges something like $15 for the service. I had a few Aussie and Japanese sellers pay the tariff on their end so the price was the price.
UAE rate is 10%
Japan rate 15%
Australia 10%

Not much more than my location sales tax.
As for Ali Express I have not tried them but have been warned against using Temu.

No experience with AliExpress, but got very positive information from a French 40-Series enthusiast who recently bought his doors directly from the factory in China. The goods have been shipped from China to France by sea and their speaking person was Mr. Rhys:

Been using Aliespress for at least 5 years. It items come no issues. Dinky cheap items usually don’t show. My AliExpress history shows lots of items I never received there are legit sellers and scammers on AliExpress. Also sell fake misleading crap. Like fake 6 terabytes drives. Anything small I order. Like antenna or key chains never make it. But like 1:64 diecast or karaoke machines. Etc. make it I’m in Canada. No tariffs yet for me. No crusier items. Ordered yet. Electric motor and door handles for my Astro van show up. EBay better and most of the decent AliExpress sellers are on eBay. I’ve never had a problem getting my money back for damaged packages or lost packages. They are good for the refunds. I’ve been refunded every time I’m been scammed. Of package looks suspicious on arrival. Record the opening of package just incase. I’ve been through it all with them. But this last package has been it for me. No more AliExpress. To many shady sellers getting into that platform.
Never ordered big ticket items like a cruiser door. Just small stuff.
Distributor caps and rotors always show up. All my BAOFENG radios show up.
Carb parts for may lawn mower and poulan chainsaws arrive also. It’s decent platform. But also has scammers.

My last purchase out of Japan had a DHL added tariff of 26.6%… it was $160 approx and they refused to deliver unless they got paid. I paid it early am and it was delivered that afternoon. Not sure if it was paid and authorized or they crossed in the shipping traffic and would have been delivered without collecting?
