Has anyone put any cruiser on a mini-truck frame?

I thought it would be interesting to shorten a mini-truck frame and put a 40 soft top or maybe a custom, lighter 55 on it, running a 22re. You would get a pretty tough, lighter, more efficient unit with classic cruiser cool. You got your light and efficient motor, lighter frame, wider axles, disk brakes, overdrive, power steering, etc. Or you could do the same thing with the v6. Obviously it's a lot of fab work but it seems that there are some nice advantages, especially with gas as high as it is. You could also consider a 2L with the same setup. Is there something I don't know? Why have I not heard of anyone doing this? Obviously some people will say "where's the beef" but this would not be for heavy duty applications, just normal on and light off road driving.

could it be done

anything can be done with time and money but I'd rather have a cool pickup and a cool cruiser!

I love the toy p/us too

There is a link where a guy in the UK put a fj on a 60 frame I think
did it all outside too
