Will it do this back-to-back? Can you consistently get it to start for a few seconds? what happens when you give it throttle while it's running?
It does it back to back. Giving it more throttle might make it try to run for a few more seconds but it constantly dies

Check your throttle cable setting, might not be getting enough fuel to idle.

Seems like a fuel delivery issue to me.

If you built exactly to the FSM then it should be good to go.

Ill have to check that, I've had to mess with the cable a few times when I got it and I replaced it but I think I may need to tweak it a little more.

AFAIK throttle cable has no bearing in idle speed. Idle is controlled by the ECU and the IAC valve
Set the throttle cable so it has no slack, but isn't under tension

Ok ill check to make sure. I thinknit might be under a little bit of tension

Are all the vacuum lines attached?
No vacuum leaks?
Intake air hose has no cracks?
PCV grommet fresh?
Dipstick o-rings in place?
Oil filler call bring ok? And not rock hard?
Everything is new except a few vacuum lines that were replaced right before I got it

Sounds like a fueling issue would be the first thing to look at
Seems willing to fire quickly, which suggests timing is ok, and its getting spark
What do you think could be wrong with the fueling system? Anything I should start with?

Check that the fuel pump is getting power.
There's relays and fuses for the fuel pump.
You can also jump power to the fuel pump via the diagnostic port in the engine bay to rule out fuel pump.

Change the fuel filter, unless it's already new.

There's also a mesh screen filter on the fuel pick up in the tank. If the track is dirty, these can block up.

How long was the truck sitting while you did the rebuild?

Check that there's adequate fuel pressure getting to the fuel rail. This will need a test gauge at the fuel pressure regulator

Ok those are good things to check, will have to do that when I get back from vacation in 4 weeks haha. It sat for probably 6 months so it wouldn't surprise me if something got gummed up
