Ports 5, 13, 14 are the same for all markets. IOW, if port 14 is drilled, it has the same vac output.

What are these #s referencing? I have not seen the ports numbered anywhere. The only thing I have is the little plate on the front end of the carb. It is labeled 5,4, and 14 but the 14 is empty. Is that the 14 you are refencing?
The only other ports I have seen numbered are the mess of steel vacuum tubes

You're looney.
Yup, sorry.

If the stock HAC is too simple, then just install an electronic ignition system w/ a cockpit adjustable advance.

I like the stock HAC, I just want to keep my nice new carb. :frown: I guess I am paying for my misinformed decision to buy a NonUS carb (damn you SOR, damb you to hell)
I realize that my first idea was waaaaaaaaaay to complicated. I got exited. Did you see my second idea?
I like that one much better.
Do you think it would work?

It could work, bUt probably not. HAC advance comes on rather suddenly at about 5-6in/hg. Regulating that at such a low level of vacuum would be a challenge.

Why even talk about this? If you're east of the rockies, it's a moot point. just set the timing and jet the carb so it runs good.

Let's talk about my new Bullbar and 8K winch and dual optimas! :bounce2:

:) See Toyota Trails in 2 issues or so :D I like to drive my cruiser really far. I like to go over the rockies and everywhere in between :) And I can tell you from my last trip that geting under the hood every time you change 4 or 5k feet in elevation really sucks.

Driving around on the east coast is not an issue at all but driving the cruiser like it is suposed to be driven isnt much fun when you have to pull over on those mountain passes to make carb and timming adjustments.

The HAC is one US spec thing that was a good thing (meaning not chrome)

Dont worry though, I will drop the issue now ;) I'm gona play with the concept on my own for awhile and maybe I will just end up buying a US carb.
Thanks for all the help!!!!

Kevin R.
P.S. Rosco, still interested in buying your carb (I'm gona start a collection  ) Pm me.
