H55 shifter seat

pulled the shifter from JDM '87Bj74…..blue ring was there but whats left of the nylon plug stayed in the trannyView attachment 1008886
Meanwhile in the Fj60 I'm getting the kinks worked out on a hybrid "H110" tranny…..yup 2 count 'em TWO five speeds…..

Where are the H55 trannys labelled? I'd like to figure out just what 5 speed got put into the FJ60…..BTB Products did the vortec conversion a couple of owners ago and the receipts are a little vague but there is clearly an invoice that includes "heated and bent to correct angle for clearance and then installed transmission shifter"…The photo above shows the shifter from my BJ74 installed and not having any clearance issues…..Perhaps because they used the 4 speed shifter they had to mod it for clearance?

The 5-speeds had a white decal with the part number and some other info on the top cover but that's about it.

You should be able to remove the bushing with a pair of snap ring pliers.

That is STUNNING!!!! harumph…..time to shuffle again through the slop (raining on top of snow - would prefer all snow!) to look for stickers….very doubtful….
