Anyone have an H41 FS that will mate upto a 79 2F and a 76 4sp. tcase?

You know to be careful about the different input shafts on H41 transmissions?

The ones that were installed behind diesel engines use a different input than the ones behind gaassers.

Just not seeing it mentioned.

Thanks for the advice because you're right-no one talks about input shaft and I hadn't thought of that either. I spoke to people at cruiserparts.net and they told me that with the vehicle year known, that their H41 would be a bolt-in.

I've got one in CO, too, but it's from an '84 FJ60 with a 2F and a split case...

Are you 2 talking H41s(non-usa low first gear) or H42s(usa)

I dunno about isotel, but mine's a non-usa with a low first gear...

If you end up with a non-USA trans with the wrong input shaft I can help you out including the installation of said shaft in the H41.
