Helping someone change fluids in an HJ45. Noticed that the spring inside the oil filter housing is missing. So nothing is keeping tension on the filter. Does anyone know where to source one? Toyota discontinued it and can’t find it anywhere online. I believe the part number is 15631-21010.

I would probably go and find a used one, Im sure it would not be that hard to source a dead 2H to pull the spring from...

Does an H and 2H have the same oil filter housing?
No, they dont.
A common mod on the H Engine is to put a replacement oil filter setup in though, a couple of hoses and a remote filter.
