Dropping the GX off this week at the local-ish Lexus dealer I bought it from and have had oil changes done at to troubleshoot/diag the electrical issues. I'm in over my head and just don't have time to try and figure out what the issue is. Paying dealer rates is definitely going to hurt my wallet and be impactful on my disposable income but I could easily spend another 40 hours trying to figure things out and get nowhere. Time for the pros to take a crack at it.
No shame in that; the GX has a very complex electrical system with many connections and areas that can cause issues.

Yeah, I'm more used to diag/****ery on ATVs and UTVs so this is a level beyond what I can reasonably manage. I should have just brought it in once the issue first presented itself, would have saved myself a s***load of time, effort, and energy.

Side-note about what I'm chasing as far as the issues go.... I was pulling things apart and noticed there's add-a-fuse type stuff for the lights, GMRS, winch, etc on some of the wiring. Could that be a factor? I don't have any of the accessories connected to the battery now, so some just are tapped into the wiring without an output.

It certainly could be. FWIW, a number of GX470s (including mine) have had very strange electrical issues during this crazy-hot summer. Mine manifested in a no-start condition when it was 115F; it ended up being the starter relay not activating (fixed it by removing it and coating it in dielectric grease)

Others have had dead rigs that were due to fuses that had gotten "hot" but not blown. I replaced all fuses in my rig due to that, about half of them were discolored/burned. Our rigs are much older than the GX460s and more prone to age-related problems like that, but you never know.

I have paid for more work to be done on my GX than every other vehicle I have had combined.

I know my limitations and when I can't meet my own quality expectations. Thats a good time to get the folks at the dealer involved. I have been far more satisfied with dealer service than local shops.
