I think there is a thread on this topic already - but could not find it.
Got new to me GX460, 2023 --> changed door locking settings - to not unlock when putting a car in Park, maybe few more.
Remotes (both) stopped working.
Car still starts and opens door when I am near it with a remote.
Light blinks on remote when I press a button.
Based on what I read - GX somehow decided to not work with the remotes.
I do not see a setting through a menu where I can change this. Is it right there and I do not see it? Or do I have to go to dealer to get this addressed?
Car is under warranty so should be free fix, but I do not want to waste time going to a dealer if it can be fixed at home.
Thank you!

I did this the day after I got my '22, 4 months ago. I have an OBDII scanner that I was able to plug in the next day and access the remote key fob function. It was set to "OFF", I was able to change it back to "ON", and after this, both my key fobs returned to completely functional, as they were prior to poking around in the truck's vehicle settings. Apparently you can't change things too fast or this will happen. Your dealer can definitely do it, but a scanner is invaluable for a number of reasons, and it came in clutch, not having to leave my driveway to fix this. I have a Launch Creader X431 Elite 2.0 scanner, FWIW.

Info below is what I found when I was searching about the issue

Here is the fix. Copying and pasting from Lexus technician. so others can print it and show service department:

Good morning,

My name is Dylan, the technology specialist you spoke to on the phone yesterday about the door lock settings issue on your GX. I’m sending a description on basically what the issue is and what will have to be done to fix it just in case you wanted to hand it to the service advisor when you come in on Friday.

Here’s a breakdown of the issue:

  • There is a glitch on the 2022 & 2023 GX which occurs, which won’t allow any settings on that screen to be changed back, such as ‘Auto Relock Timer’ etc.
  • This occurs when anyone goes into the door lock settings screen and changes one or more settings in that screen and the issue is specific to those GX models.
  • To fix this issue, the vehicle would have to be brought into the shop and a technician would have to look at it. From vehicles we’ve had with this issue in the past, the fix appears to be disconnecting the vehicle’s battery for 30 minutes, using their computer/software to fix it, or a combination of both.
  • If the service advisor or shop technician is confused about this issue, they can reach out to one of us technology specialists here at the dealership while the car is in the shop as this is a confirmed issue we’ve seen in the past.

If you have any questions or want to reach out to us, you can always reach out by replying to their email or calling us directly at 972-407-7012 and we’ll be happy to help out!
