Just tried to run an errand, started, put in gear, maybe moved a 1/4 then stopped. Park, then off, then tried again. Same thing multiple times. If i give a little gas, move but sounded like a brake or wheel squealing. Emergency brake not on, no lights on dash, in 4w high.

2019 with 60,000 miles.

It's our only car and we are moving across country in 10 days pulling a trailer.HELP!!!!!!!

If its been sitting a good long while......Are the brakes rusted over pretty good?

Engage and release the parking brake a few times?

Police didnt boot it? J/K
Not booted yet! So, looks like a brake issue. Called local Toyota (nearest Lexus is 140 miles away), USAA had it towed over.

When tow truck guy got here, he had my put in reverse and drive a few more times, and it started moving. Sounded like brakes might have been frozen in the rear. Hope to find out more tomorrow or Friday.

We don’t drive much, but it gets a few miles almost every day.

I was going to suggest putting in neutral and see if it rolls, but looks like you have it taken care of.
Wherever you're moving, if you're far from a Lexus dealer, try to find a GOOD authorized independent mechanic that's local. We have one we've used for the past 35 years. He's only about 6 blocks away!

Not an uncommon issue on Toyota trucks that sit for a little while. If you washed it and parked it right away then it can happen in just a few days as the rotors surface flash rust. Putting it in L4 and forcing it forward and backward has always been my "fix"...

Update, just picked up from service department. Went through brakes, cleaned up, works fine,

My theory, we live in Bahama rock gravel road, basically a white powder and no rain for a long time so car was caked. I wished car Saturday, then did wheels/tires on Sunday. Parked it in garage and didn’t need it until yesterday.

May have been a mix of flash rust and gravel dust cement effect?

Moving to Casper Wyoming on Friday. Will drive it a few extra miles a day from now on, especially after wet!

Glad it was nothing too serious or costly. Safe travels!
