I've searched mud and the net and can't find anything. Does anyone know if the 2UZ-FE has the heater in it already and just needs the cord installed? Napa has a "replacement" cord for the GX. I know that's how it is with my f350, just bought the cord and screwed it to the side of the block.

I think it's a dealer installed option in any cold weather areas where it's needed. Doesn't ship from Lexus with the block heater in the block, just a plug as far as I know.
Just make sure it's a good quality product (OEM if possible). I had issues with a Jeep Cherokee when the block heater that was installed blew out twice and the vehicle had to be towed back to the shop! I know the mechanic and he's top-notch. It was the piece of crap heater that wouldn't hold.
