GX console bin dimensions

Hi,
I am trying to figure out a way to store valuables securely and I'm thinking of mounting a locking box within the console bin. I had a Ft Knox pistol safe in the console of my 80 and loved it, but the console on the GX is much smaller.


I'm on holiday vacation and will be away from my GX for a week. Could someone please be kind enough to measure and post the interior dimensions of the console bin?

I'm getting 6.63" front to back x 6.5" wide x 5.75" deep. assuming you're talking about the little storage area below the arm rests that's got the split doors.

Mine has the RES DVD player in that bin as well, so if yours is similarly equipped make sure to take that into consideration.

I was hoping I could get a ShotLock CCW gun vault to fit in there but it would need about 7"x8". Not going to work, so will need to figure out a plan B.
