Love it. How did you get so much more lift than me in the front! You’re sitting like an inch taller than me in front with the same setup. Did you adjust preload at all or set them up yourself?
Mine are the nitros, they came pre-assembled, I didn't adjust them prior to install. BTW, will be editing my measurements above since I just removed the front KDSS spacer in order to fit a new front skid. Will drive it for a bit before re-measuring.

@jakemccurdy - good to hear you are still plugging away at camping with these trucks...

I've been spending winter weekend on a refresh of my "boomerang" FJ62 - but trying to button it up as spring adventures are immediately ahead...

As I didn't see it mentioned in this GX thread, I'm really enjoying Tinker's Adventure videos like :

Truck:
2013 GX (Base) White
Extra weight - Ironman front bar, front winch, Rocky Road skids

Lift:
Radflo 2.5 Coilover (standard travel) - install Dec 2019
front springs (Eibach #700) - upgraded July 2021
rear (Eibach)

After Lift Measurements:
Lf 21.5
Rf 21.75
Lr 22.75
Rr 22.75

Awesome. That makes sense. Spring perches on the Nitros must be a bit higher than the standard set-up for FCP's. I had them pre-build my FCP's as well so I assume I'm at whatever their standard pre-load setting is.

That's a sexy rig. Thanks for posting.

I've been loving Tinkerer's Adventures and taking notes. Only an engineer could explain it that well. Wish my winter project was as cool as your 62. I bought Jill and old 3rd Gen runner that needed some love so I'm wrenching around here too. Just flipped her suspension, even pressed in my own bushings! I've come along a bit since I told you I wasn't sure I could handle the shocks/springs on the GX : )

Msg me if you head to Expo West next month. I still owe you a beer or three.

would be nice to include the tire size as well in the description. Found this thread to compare lifts, but dont know how it will look compared to my choice of tire size.

The way they are measuring excludes tire size. It doesn't matter what size tire you have, the measurements should be the same.

I can double check the stock height - mine's on stock suspension still and only has 12,000 miles so it shouldn't' have sagged that much.

Its a good thought but I think there is a tire size thread that might be more applicable. You can get 33’s under a stock GX and most lifted run that so Im thinking tire fitting is more a function of plastic pushing until you hit the fenders… Im running 265’s (stock 4runner sized 265/70/17) in my pic if that helps. Yes, I know they look too small : )

I've double checked the stock measurements, and after some creative math I've determined that my driveway isn't flat/level.

Otherwise, they're pretty close to what you measured haha.

Its just that its a bit of the same, but split subjects. i saw a rig on here that sat nicely, knew the lift size but then finding out that his tires were way smaller then i thought (from another build thread i stumbled upon) realized that wasnt the size i wanted.
Just seems like a small piece of information, that while isnt important to the measurement of the thread, it does leave me wondering if that is what mine will look like. Stuck on the fence of 2.5" or 3" ironman FCP. Ended up just ordering the 2.5" and figured i can preload it to get level measurements. Know the tires will fit, but dont know

You might want to go with 33"s for looks or if off-road is your priority. My pic at the top is your lift with 265/70/17. 285's fill it out a bit better. I stuck with 265's to keep my spare underneath and for braking/fuel economy. I still rub plastic like crazy when I reverse at full lock.

I agree with Jake, if you're lifting your rig, 33" (or close to that size) tires would probably be the minimum size for a 3" lift to keep it looking good. Smaller tires may look a little odd.

There's not really that much variation in tire selection. Everyone chooses either 31.5's (265's), 33's or occasionally 35's if you're willing do to a lot more clearance work (bumper and BMC at least). There is a ton of variation in lifts though which is why I started this thread. @Diesel Datsun has a point though, it's not that hard to add it and since lot of guys do it at the same time as the lift, I'll make a note in the template to add tire sizes if you can. Appreciate the input,

I'll be curious to see Dustin's numbers since he's got the same lift as mine and mine was lower in the front and higher in the back than advertised. Dustin, you might want to check into their 1.5" stock springs for the rear if you want it level. The 2" lift got me 3.75" after settling because I have no weight. I'll likely swap mine.... someday.
