Is there supposed to be a spring that makes the hood pop open? I'm just wondering since my hood doesn't pop open. It opens but i have to push the front of the hood first(after i open the latch). I thought it maybe because the struts were old so i replaced it a few months ago. It popped open for a few weeks but now i have to push it in before it pops.
I was just wondering if maybe i'm missing something.

They are gas shocks/struts, much like your suspension, but just not has hard.
I had to do this on my 'ol 100 series Landcruiser. It's very simple. Just purchase a couple of struts, pop off the old ones and replace with new ones.
