Gutter mounts getting in the way of doors - help!

Heres a link to some pics of the mounts on my buddys rack. The triangle part behind the clamp is like $10 extra. I like Gregs improved style since the hardware is not exposed on the sides like the older versions.

Also, Gregs clamps are height adjustable. I think he has two versions with different adjustable heights in case you plan on a suspension lift in the future. I was actually able to get the rack to sit flush with the roof runners when playing around with the height during install. With a platform rack i still fit in a 7 foot garage with OME J springs 1" front spacers and 315's.

Did you get any resolution? I built a full length rack with gutter mounts and have zero clearance issues. The rack sits 1.250" above the highest part of the roof.

Yeah, I just finalized buying some gamiviti gutter mounts from Cannon88. I will post some pics once I get the mounts and get the rack on my cruiser.

Edit: I bought the mounts from nuclearlemon. Excited to get them in the mail in the next little while!

Ok, received the mounts today and attempted the install this evening and I still have the same problem - the clamp gets in the way of the door. In addition, I can't get half of the locking portions of he clamps on at all. I will let the pics do most of the explaining.

Do you have to remove the plastic/rubber that covers the gutter? I am at a loss here. Help again!

The first two are pics of the door problem. The third is of one of the clamps that I can't attach at all.

Question: Have your rear doors ever been removed/swapped? Has your rig ever been in an accident? For some reason, the gap between the bottom of the rain gutter and the top of the doors appears less than it should be to me. Perhaps the doors aren't aligned quite right and are sitting higher in the opening that they should. Just a thought....

Well, I finally went ahead and removed the rubber that covers the gutters. That solved the door issue and the rack is on.
