I'll be in the 80 this year. I might drive the 40 up on Monday to bring some supplies. Then I'll be back up on Thursday.

@tkinze stay tuned. I'll have something to wheel at GSMTR... :cool:

Oh Yeah? Are we about to be impressed or are you trolling for rigs? For a $1500 budget I"ll bet the latter, thought I had a good lead on one yesterday for ya but the handle bars were bent.

@tkinze I will vouch. He has some good stuff up his sleeve. Came up all spades today for the parts slinger!

One vehicle has already been purchased. But, it's IFS and I know you'll make fun of me if I show up in an IFS truck with some 31s on it. :worms:

Would never make fun of someone's rig, frankly I don't care if you're rockin' a big wheel as long as you just show up has always been my motto. You've obviously never seen pics of my truck from back in the day, IFS and bald 31s. That'd be fun to wheel again, I've often wanted to go back and wheel that combo again just for a day to see how it used to be.

So let's see what ya got.

Don't have many pics other than the carnage I found under the valve cover. PO put a head gasket on it, didn't replace the chain or guides. Took the V-cover off and immediately saw the problem... Timing chain guide was completely gone. Chain wore through the cover. Very common issue. Gonna replace the cover, put some gasket on that didn't get replaced the first time around, flush it out and change oil, then :steer:

And yes, yes I did name the truck Marty McFly. But you can call him Marty for short.

So, hopefully I'll be driving the OTHER vehicle that I'm trying to buy to GSMTR but if I can't get that put together in time I'll take this one. I will absolutely wheel it in all it's unlocked, baby tire, IFS glory. :hillbilly:

I've seen that before. :bang::bang:

It gets ya back in the game, nice score. Get 'er fixed and bring it! Open/Open -- must know the art of the bump.

Is it still on for this weekend? I want to see my family relative.

:)

Yeah don't know when. And it's not just your relative, we're talking separated at birth here!!! :eek:

Yes... I remember the not so long gone days of wheeling the mini with small tires. It actually had lockers from the start but was a whole different ball game. I like the idea though. It's more fun that way. More of a challenge. :cool:

And I already have the stuff to fix Marty. Just gotta get to wrenchin this weekend. :wrench:

never wheeled open/open? you're definitely gonna miss the lockers but should be fun too. You will certainly learn how to use momentum and how to bump up obstacles.

Still a good chance that this will not be the vehicle I bring. I didn't really buy it to be a wheeler. It's just my back up plan in case the other doesn't work out. The plan for this truck is strictly DD and hauling junk around.

Is the other truck gonna be an 80? :idea:
