Very cool. Sorry for the misunderstanding. I had a huge range of parts needed so a yard was best since they had essentially everything in one spot and they are willing to load the container up.

I appreciate the offer and I'm sure I'll need some stuff soon. You should really start finding things like diesel motors and 5 speeds and start selling them here. You'd do very well even with shipping from AU.

We're now officially amigos.

John I have bought a truck from you and now a transmission. If I thought you were ripping people I would never have given you $1050. I even feel bad I didn't help you put up your tent at FG. Well at least my wife did :flipoff2:

I really need to stop posting when drinking so I can fully realize the implications of my actions.

No wonder he was taking off and we wouldn't see him for hours. I thought he was begging for food. Guess I was wrong. :meh:

it's loaded but not on the boat yet. figure the first week of February

Well, let's say the last week of February. There has been a bunch of delays and frankly I'm a little pissed at my usual shipping guy. Well, I'm actually pissed at his counterpart in AU. My guy here is very good about getting back to me. The guy in AU wasn't returning calls quickly.

Bottom line is that the container isn't leaving AU until Dec 28th. Boat will take 55 days. Add on another week for port handling/off-loading. I'd say the last week of Feb.

Sorry for the delays

I'm glad to hear that the container will be shipped out. My garage is not heated, so I wasn't planning to do much work on my FJ in early February anyway.

SouthBostonFJ, will you still be making regular trips to Bethel in late February?

If it helps I camp in Maine in July every year. happy to hang onto it. Also have a friend with a cabin in Moosehead that would certainly meet you someplace.

Thanks for the offer.

SouthBostonFJ was planning to meet me in Bethel -- he goes skiing there on a regular basis. If those plans fall through, I'd like to work something out with you or your Moosehead friend.

I'm looking forward to seeing the doors. My FJ project is nearing completion, and the doors will be the proverbial icing on the cake.

I really hope it gets to Boston that last week of Feb. I'm leaving for Kentucky the second week of March and have to be able to pick up the t-case before I go, unless you want to hold onto it for 6 months :D

We should have used this opportunity to bring in some SIMEX tires. :bang: I REALLY want a set.

For the tires- Email Matt.Mcinnes here on MUD. he has a few trucks that are heading to the USA at his house. Buy a set and have them thrown in the back of the troopy or 40 or whatever.

GLTH- Happy to store your trans for a while if it comes to that. Hopefully it'll get here before that
