This one has come up before and been sorted out I believe... but I can't find it in the other GROM threads.

My iPhone is running the latest OS (26.3) and the GROM says all firmware and software are up to date.
The phone pairs, all apps behave, e.g. music, maps, etc. The phone does all the phone things - makes/takes calls, shows on dash screen etc.

The current issue: I can hear the person on the other end fine. But they can't understand me - my voice is so garbled/distorted. I have to switch to the iPhone speaker - disconnecting from the GROM-CarPlay interface.

Remind me - what setting and which set of settings corrects this?

I’ve had the grom Vline since 2016. Updated etc and always never had good luck with phone calls with issues exactly as you described. I think I contacted grom and they explained mic gain solution however it didn’t improve. Since then I just use the iPhone speaker as you did. The rig is not my primary mode of transportation so no worries for me. However, I may look into it again.

Looks like one of the recent resets/reboots put the settings back to factory - with the mic gain at 99%. I slid that down to 70% and it seems to have solved it.
