This picture sums it up. Let me tell you the story of this truck. The owner, Barry, bought it to use for going fishing with his boys and some camping trips. Over the weekend at Gray Rock he said to me "I can feel a mild addiction coming on" as he learned about what his truck could do. He wheeled it like it was his cousin's all weekend. He didn't cry when he dented the passenger door trying the entrance to the creek for the 2nd time (he decided to use a little speed, ended up shedding some bark from a pine tree). He broke a motor mount the first day, and kept on wheeling. He brought his two boys to show them how Pops can wheel it. This is what this event was all about. Folks enjoying the outdoors, each other, and using their trucks for one of the purposes the trucks were made for.

Sure was fun... yall come next year.

And I'm pretty sure through that windshield, I see a smile on both the driver's and the passenger's face...
 
Lets not forget about the shock mount I busted. I listened to that shock bang against the front axle all the way home.

I'm smiling out of relief for having survived the hill I just crested.

Truly, it was a great trip. I appreciate all the experience and planning that went into it as well as Greg's expert trail mentoring.

Wasn't it Nietzsche that said "whatever doesn't kill us, makes us stronger"?

Or was that a US Marine recruitment poster. "Pain is weakness leaving the body".

Something like that.

Last one from Ken. He let his truck get a little squirly on the very last day, right as most of us were pulling out to go home. Looks like fun! See yall there next year.
