GPS looses accuracy on back roads / highways

Ah… I do have that button. But haven’t needed to mess with it yet.

But back to the GPS, question for you guys; how long does it take for your system to find a signal?
Driving this morning, it took my system about 3 min to get a location.
And then I notice as I’m driving through Houston, the the GPS signal comes and goes. Intermittent. Do your systems do this?

It could be that it has always done this and I’m just now noticing.

Also, it does seem like the trees are causing this intermittence as I drive under them, but Houston doesn’t have giant trees like other places do. So it seems odd to me.

Also, I’m driving through neighborhoods. So it’s not tall buildings blocking my signal. Nothing more than 2 stories.
 
That is odd if your signal is not blocked, as in a garage. Mine is near instant in obtaining signal. Has signal after the caution screen, and 1 to 3 seconds after an obstruction like a garage, even surrounded by high rise buildings. Maybe your GPS antenna has an issue?

Mine tends to just have erroneous mapping when in the mountains.
