Goose Gear Install Over Sound Deadener, or Carpet, or Both?

Anyone try this, and how did it go?

I pulled the carpet and maybe added a little sound deadener.

I don't have goose gear but I do have a drawer system. I went with sound deadener and no carpet. Carpet /w insulation added too much height.
