Goopy door card

When i got the car the top "sandalwood" part of my door card was kinda grungy and sticky. I cleaned it with goof off which made it worse and seemed to melt it even more. Id love to be able to just replace that top part but its plastic welded to the lower tan piece. besides "getting over it" what are guys doing when this happens?

Thats alot of dead skin and oil.. Mine was like that when I bought it. I just live with it.

You could also look for a new/used door card. They are very easy to take on/off, and there seem to be a LOT of GX470s in salvage yards right now (that won't last forever).

Using just a steamer on that area helped quite a bit on mine. It seems to make it stickier at first but after it cools off and dries it's better. No where near original, but better.

i used dish detergent (Dawn) mixed with water and a towel to clean mine. it still has a rubbery feel to it but no more "elbow grease". a brush would probably work well at agitating it to remove it
