When I first bought my 1992 22re pickup a couple years ago it would fire right up when I turned the key. Now it takes 3 or more cranks on the key to get going, and now that it is getting cold it takes a lot and sometimes it wont start.

I am thinking it is the fuel injectors. Is there any way to check to see if any are bad. I was thinking of having a shop cleaning them but then I thought I could probably just replace them myself for the same price as a shop cleaning them.

Any other suggestions of things that may be wrong or toughs are appreciated.

If anyone knows a good source for good fuel injectors or other parts for these trucks I would appreciate it.

I just had my injectors cleaned and calibrated. Price was about $150 including shipping and border costs. New OEM injectors are at least triple that cost. I checked. Of course, you might save on aftermarket injectors, but for what it cost me, it was worth it to have them cleaned, calibrated, and shipped. Mine were done at RC engineering in California, but Witchhunter does them as well, out of Washington state. Witchhunter does not ship to Canada, but might to Alaska? Weird geographical issue, I would say.

Yes, it is MUCH cheaper to have them cleaned and balanced than buying new. The problem is you will have your truck down and apart while you wait for them to come back.

I used Mr Injector: http://www.mrinjector.us/ $16 per injector plus $5.50 for shipping = $70 total. Great guy, fast turnaround. Email him, ask about shipping to AK.

I would take a look at the cold start injector, you might find it totally clogged and caked with gunk. Easy to clean with carb cleaner spray.

Oh, and to answer your original question about getting parts, you wanna talk to Sam Stewart or Onur (beno on here) at Lowe Toyota. Excellent service, very knowledgeable. ~20% discount for MUD members too. You will need some gaskets, insulators, and o-rings if you decide to pull the injectors.

If it helps at all, I do have a spare set of injectors I'm trying to sell: https://forum.ih8mud.com/sale-parts/625812-denso-89-22re-fuel-injectors.html

Could be circuit opening relay. It's behind the passenger kick panel, and they're vulnerable to corrosion over time. At least, that's what a local shop owner has told me. He's found these to be the culprit with no starts on a number of occasions with our 22RE pickups. How long has it been since you've changed fuel filters? After 5 years of ownership, I finally changed mine this year after experiencing hard starts, and the problem went away. The fuel filter looked real old!

It starts but takes a few cranks so I don't think it is the relay. The fuel filter will be my first change of course.

It sounds like a clean and calabrate is the way to go. $75-125 is not bad so I will likely be sending them off to one of the people suggested here and ordering some gaskets etc. from bino when I get a chance to get it in the garage and am able to have some down time with the truck.

It is still my DD until I can replace my bearings on my FJ-60.
