Take a look at this pic
It's the red and black thing on the right side of the pic. Has 4 hoses coming out the top and one large one out the bottom. If you blow into one of the top hoses and air comes out than it its good.
I also need one of the BVSV's. There are 2 of them that are threaded into the thermostat housing with 2 vacuum hoses coming out the top. I need the lower one.

I have a working BVSV that was new upon install last year, but the truck died. The brass is still shiny on the valve.
