I'm eventually going to replace my 20 inch OEM wheels with some 18 inch (I think), but in the meantime I'm going to paint my wheels. I'm planning to do them all at once, so I'm going to put the LX570 up on four jack stands (4-ton) in order to do them all at once.

I've never even jacked up the LX570 (just got it a month ago), much less put the entire thing up on stands. I did this often with my 4Runner, but before moving ahead I figured I'd ask here to see if there's anything to be careful about or best practices.

Thanks for any help!

Cool. The weight freaks me out, and the thought of having it sit on stands for a couple of days. Just want to be sure there's nothing odd about this truck.

Not sure many of us trust the front center jack location, but I could be wrong.

I'm not sure why jacking from the front center position gives me the willies even though I routinely jack from under the rear pumpkin, but it does.

Do you jack from the forward support positions instead?

Yes, or under the LCA with a good floor jack. But a lot of people dont recommend the LCA for safety reasons (jack could slip off)

You probably already have equipment, but I have a pair of these and LOVE them. Jack and stand in one. They are great especially up front where you can just lift on the frame and then they are set.

They lift my lifted FJC and the 33's come off the ground.

Those are awesome, I’d totally grab some if I could find them locally. Don’t seem to be in stock anywhere.

I have tried to jack from that front center position, but by the time I get my floor jack back that far, there is only a few degrees of stroke on the handle so it takes forever. Plus, I also didn't think that strut looked strong enough. So I would jack from the outer end of the LCA, and put the stand under the inside end of the LCA where it attaches to the frame. Not optimal but it worked.

Then I got my QuickJack and haven't used a stand or the floor jack since.
