Just got off the phone with our fearless leader...... "My GAWD this thing is friggin huge.... even bigger then I thought"

He got most of the driving instructions, signed all the paperwork and got headed south 'bout 1:30.

Goin' up through the gears he done figured out, but apparently they forgot to tell him how to down shift so he's gotta come to complete stop and start over. Sounds like Cam got 'im hooked up with the rest of the driving instructions.... Thanks Cam!!!

just got off the phone with him. sorry i didn't get mike's message til now, but i was in emissions hell this morning so that shot my day and i had to go hang out with friends to try to recover ;)

the double clutching was a bit new to him, but he's got it down now and said he's only about 8 hours away:clap:

nothing quite like throwing a kowboy in water and yelling "swim" :flipoff2:

btw, while i was down south, i saw a real nice puke green suburban that would go good with that new truck ;)

ok, kowpoke...inquiring minds want to know...

were you able to downshift and stop as you pulled in the driveway, or did you plow through the house and shop? :steer:

He's here, been a truck driver less than 24 hrs and he must be already on the uppers......rounding help up to get all the stuff fixed to pull the big trailer by Tues.

Take yo ass to the Doctor! You got lots of stuff to do!

Later,

Home sweet home Folks.

I made great time with the cruise set on 75 or so and keepin' 'er rollin ... 'specially since I couldn't downshift. :o

Thanks to Butch, Ige, and Cam for callin' me on the road with some advice ... and the rest of those that called just to give me s***.

She drives and rides REAL nice ... and got 10 mpg. Puke lime green is actu'ly Hemi Green and the stripes are copyin' the '69 Charger. Looks good in person.

But MY GAWD she's big.

Got to Greg's shop yesterday mornin' and he promptly gave me a most excellent drivin' lesson. I'm alot better at it now.

Dusty and Tommy pulled thru like champs and we got all three tool boxes outta the lil' dodge and mounted into Lil' Pete. Got all the trailer plugs wired up in the bed too. So now just gotta go out this mornin' and see if'n the trailer's tall enough to go into the bed ... it's gonna be REAL close I reckon.

Just another weekend ....

:flamingo:

Glad your home.

"and got 10 mpg."

too late complaint about MPG.

I always like the Charger.

What about the pictures Sir?

I can't wait till Wednesday.

the stripes are copyin' the '69 Charger.

The 69 Charger had a wrap-around stripe on the rear quarter & trunk, but later models had a C pillar stripe that was chopped up. Personally, I think it looks more like the 70 AAR 'Cuda myself, but either way, it sure is one sweet ride!

What about the official decals. Got them on yet? Gonna have to do black ones for that. OK, give us the verdict, did the goosneck fit?

Later,

Glad you made it home. looking forward to seeing the hood painted OD with the WT decal on it.
