Gonna look cute with that little camper shell on it!

My new trailer will look good behind that, you thought my other one was big. I like to s*** myself when I pulled up to pick it up this past Wednesday. As my brother put it "looks like a greatdane mounted on a chawawa(sp)" but the little dodge pulled the s*** out of it. It is rather nice though or atleast I like it.

I agree ... but that's down the road some. Gonna have to stretch the bed 'bout foot and a half. Meanwhile ... I'll just tow my trailer as is.

Gonna have to refinance 'er everytime you fill 'er up

When do ya close the deal on it?

Fuel mileage and capacity 'bout the same as the Dodge.

Gonna call the Fella this afternoon with a few questions. Hopefully close the deal durin' the same phone call. Fly to Oregon 27 March to drive 'er home.

That's what I'm talkin bout! That is a sweet rig right there!

I think she'll meet my needs right nice sir.

Good for you and glad you like it. Problem is though that you're prob'ly exceedin' the legal tow limit of the Dodge ... which leaves you exposed in a civil liability case should one ever arise. Risky bid'ness.

:flamingo:

Here is the rig I am trying to get my hands on (cheap). Picture a cabover up front and lowered bed with drive over fenders for the rig on the back. Then I could bumper tow a second rig if I wanted to.

...patiently waiting for roger to post up...it seems ya'll are all in the same boat.

I know he's looked at the 4700, but I think he wants a club cab or one of the newer 6.7 Dodge cab/chassis

A club cab would be nice but with the slide in (8-10ft) and a flat bed long enough to haul my cruiser (minimum 14ft) the rig would just be too long. Many a 24' straight truck out there fairly cheap and if I can get a boot between the slide in and the cab the kids/wife/whoever could ride in the camper and fetch me a cold one when I wanted it! Towing my 18' bumper pull for a second rig would be no problem either. The rig I pictured is at one of our facilities that recently closed. It is no longer on the "books" so I may be able to get it really cheap. Fingers crossed!

Great concept Daryl ... hope it works out for ya.

Meanwhile ... I decided against the Kenworth at the top of the page and just bought this Peterbilt instead. Fly into Chicago Saturday to pick 'er up. :grinpimp:

Well, I'm always going to feel like a poor relation if I compare my junk to yours - that's one fine rig right there my friend! You going to have it at K-rocks?

Let the games begin ...

Part of the deal was that the Fella picks me up at the airport on Saturday in Chicago with full fuel tanks and a gooseneck hitch mounted in the bed. Haul ass 1000 miles home straight thru to pull in Sunday evenin' to pick up Debbie at DFW when she flies in. Got Tommy lined up to wire up the electrical trailer outlets in the bed Monday. Tuesday head to Katemcy with it. :grinpimp:

You, Sir, are out of control! At least it's green (sort of). You should have kept the trailer green. They would have matched!See ya Wed.

Later,

Along with the rest of us. I have been looking for a used IH 4300 extended cab but all of them I have located have roll back bodies on them. I have wanted to stay with something I can unhook from the camper in places like Moab and drive to town. I may have to settle for a Ford 650

Kowboy the new truck is impressive.

She likes the color!

Color of the truck ain't no big deal to me ... reckon I'll get used to Lime Green. :meh:

But I'm real fond of the color of the engine ... yeller ... Caterpillar yeller to be exact.

200 miles on a completely overhauled 3126. :grinpimp:

And thanks Roger ... I look forward to takin' delivery Saturday.
