I have a 11/70 FJ40 with stock engine and wire harness. As I installed the Saginaw steering, I decided to install the Ididit GM style column without ignition in the column, in stock location. I connected the blinker wiring to the GM plug, but no blinking. Wondering if a wire to power needs to be plugged into the GM plug or some other wire? If so, what is the color of the stock wire that I need to connect and what position on the plug? Thanks

You need to look at wiring diagrams for your year as well as wiring diagrams for the Ididit column. Once you matched up the correct wires things should work.

I did place the green white (brake switch) wire to the P outlet and the green (flasher) to the K outlet as per the FJ40 wire diagram and column diagram. Hmmm… let me play some more with the wires.
