Pull apart connector. Does anyone know how to separate this connector. Under the dash, pulling harness. My thumbs are sore and I’m about to pull out my sawzall.

Is mine broken(missing tab)? The other connectors came apart easily.

So, based on the picture, go up with that tab?
I believe you need to squeeze these two together.
. I feel your pain I just went though this 5 days ago. What worked for me, was dismount the main harness body grommet and push it back through the fire wall. That gets it back closer to you so you can get a better purchase and work it easier. Squeeze the connector back together and use a small screw driver to push the tab back in and take you screw driver like a pry tool and gently work around where ever you can get and it will slowly come apart.
Squeeze back together and try again as needed to work some movement into the dust and grime that’s in there. It will come eventually

I got it. Way worse that I thought it would be.
The tab looks like it doesn’t do anything. You’re supposed to depress the button and it releases but I don’t see how that helps. From the help fr you guys, I was able to put a small screw driver between the connectors and then pry on the edge of the back of the connector.

What a pain. I’m pulling the engine and this was the worst part

I wonder if putting a lot of Dielectric grease on it would help or hurt if I have to pull it again in 15 yrs?
With no cabin filter, it gets pretty dusty in there might make it more gritty and glued together!!
