Gibson headers - any volunteers near Corona, CA?

I’ve dredged this thread up for two reasons.
The first is to find out if anyone has followed up on this lead. This may be our best chance for a header. :cool:
Second is to get SALEH to talk about his header and possibly show pictures of it and possibly other engine mods he may have done. :bounce2: :bounce:

I am close but I am too busy right now and can't be without my truck.

If my exhaust manifolds leaked, I'd be singing a different tune;)
 
Tell me again why Tundra/Sequoia 4.7L aftermarket headers won't fit an LC100. Even the new FJ Cruiser has headers available for it already. Looks like the LC100 is the red-headed b*stard stepchild of the Toyota family. :frown:

They won't fit due to the frame being different and the fit of the exhaust. FJ Cruiser is selling 60,000+ units and they are being bought by people who will actually buy aftermarket parts in large quantities whereas most 100's are owned by people who don't mod them.

Now you actually have someone offering to prototype the headers and nobody wants to step up to the plate and do it. So that is why this truck is and will continue to be the "red-headed stepchild". Of course, I think you already knew all that and were just venting:D
 
In the event this ever actually does come to fruition. I guess it would be a good idea to get in on it even if you don't plan to change your exhaust for quite awhile because you never know when the exhaust manifold might go on you huh?

Are there differences in the way they might fit from 1998 to 2005?

I'll volunteer my vehicle if it's still an offer on the table.
I live a couple miles from that Gibson place.

I'd be more than happy to post the photos when/if it's completed.

Give them a call and see if they are still interested.

One thing for them to keep in mind is they have sold 15,000 units a year in the United States alone since 1998 not to mention overseas markets. This represents a solid number of vehicles.

Listen, i will personally give a 100 dollar money order to the guy who gives up his 100 for a week so i can get some Headers for my truck. Please guys! I live in NY and am attending school so i cant get to Cali to do this. If i had time off i would drive cross country to get these things fabbed up.

I really want to do headers and high flow cats. I gota squeeze out a few more HP, i just called Slee today and found out the turbo kit is 11k...too rich for my blood. So i have to stay N/A and headers would help and then i could get a piggy back ecu programmed to optimize the motor for the headers with the borla catback and K&N intake.

i know my truck runs a little rich at the moment because when i start it all i can smell is unburnt fuel from the back end. If i get headers it would finally be worth getting a tuned piggyback ecu setup to fix the problem....and add even more power at WOT.

if you do it and gibson makes us the headers, i will refund 100 dollars of your money that you might have spent on a rental.



Seriously, i will give 100 dollars to anyone who gets gibson to fab up a set of wonderful headers for our 100's. 100 dollars for 100 headers, cant be a bad deal, comeone please guys!
 
As a group that would benefit from this,we should come up with some kind of plan to help the person who is willing to do this.We could give donation to the rental.
First fine out how long the project will take,then who is going to do it will open a paypal account and we all put money it if for the rental.
 
Im trying to keep this at the top case anyone in the area hopes on mud!

Please guys we gota get the ball rolling on this.
