Generic door weather stripping anyone?

So, I’m looking for a quick fix with some half doors I’ll be putting on the old girl in the following months. I don’t want to spend a ton of money and get factory or even reproduction weatherstripping for my doors as I would only be using these half doors in season.

Has anybody had any luck with buying some generic stuff (rubber to sponge type) from NAPA or any local auto parts store?

These would only go around the half door at the bottom, so not a lot would be used and just looking for some inspiration.

I've used some random weatherstripping around the barn doors on my 40 for a whe now, nothing special, and nothing special to say about how it worked.

Just to keep the dust out and metal from rattling.

Reminds me, I need to replace a section.

The door rubber on City Racer is cheap and good quality. Just buy them and cut them to fit.

Problem with the sponge rubber is that once it's wet it holds the water against the body. 40s are allergic to water; makes them break out in rust.

Had to Google water to know what you meant. Most wiper blades are replaced for dry rot before ever being used here in AZ.

Some time back someone was asking for door seals. I just googled it and found a place that showed the seal profile he was looking for and then posted a link to the product - less than 2 months back I think. I'll try and search my posts but no guarantee I'll find it.

I tried - no luck. I scrolled back to december. I tried looking at my posts - can only access like the last 50 and it wasn't there.
