I have a GE Geospring Heat Pump water heater at home and here at my vacation property. The one I just put in here was from a customer of mine who had it about 6 months but the compressor on the heat pump was too loud he removed it. While working on his well I saw it and he said take it. I installed it last weekend. The unit runs on heat pump just fine. I got hot water. If I put it on electric mode the heat pump just keeps running. On my unit at home after you change the mode it will display and then switch modes. Even when changed to vacation mode the heat pump keeps running. Mine at home will immediately turn off when it goes into vacation mode. I’m thinking I’ve got a control board issue. But I’ve got no fault codes. If anybody is familiar with these that be awesome to help me out.
