Gauging interest in the early Aisin blue hub fan clutch

I'm trying to figure out why people want to go to an earlier one rather than the current blue hubbed one....

I mean, if your cooling system is in tip-top shape, and you are using a good fan clutch with some 10K oil, everything should be kosher.

Am I missing something here or is this ealier fan clutch an attempt at being different?

:flipoff2:

May be the answer is in post #7.

I did already check out the like to Tools' reportage, but still, I don't see why anyone would need anything else beyond what a modified, current blue hub fan clutch provides?

[with a tip top cooling system--new rad, hoses, flush, etc.]

For about the same $$$, why not go with the one that is "stronger with equal fluid"?

Guys, I am glad you all get it in time. I have some more people who is still interested in this. I can only get 4 more and that is the end of it. 2 of them has been spoken for, and 2 are still available. Let me know if anyone want it before I make the last arrangement. :)

No, you do not have to do anything to it. Just remove the old one and replce with the new one and new belt and you are good to go unless you want to drain and fill with higher cst oil.

No sure if any asked but, do we need to do anything to this before we install it?

sorry if this has been covered before? I just need a yes or no answer and where to get parts if I need them to complete the install.

thx

Got my blue hub fan clutch today. Thanks Lim.

are these malaysian "blue" fan clutch's suppose to reduce heat in the engine bay better than stock?

meaning they activate at lower temps and stay on until the engine cools down

what oil viscosity do they have? 10000 or 6000 or 30000?

would you reccomend for hot tropical weather?

This is the earlier model that some mudder claim to be better. It is supposed to be more efficient. Honestly, I have no idea what viscosity this comes with. You should have no problem using hot hot tropical weather and Malaysia is Tropical country, summer all year long. I just finished installing my early blue clutch, it seems to work fantastic. Finally I have the start up roar again, pulling tons of air. Sounds nice too =)
I hope some of the buyer can chimp in and give their experience with this early blue hub clutch, I am happy with mine so far.
