Where do I find the military style gas cans? I'm in Minnesota - Army surplus? Is there a difference in quality?

I bounced around with the "ventless" plastic blitz can in a jeep until we were all about to pass out from the fumes years back when we finally figured out a way to rig it to the spare with some rope...

Photogod, You didn't have any problems with leakage eventhough they were used cans.

The ones I got were from Israel and I don't think you will have any problems with leaking. These things really lock down tight and the gaskets were in great shape. Mine looked just like the one in the photo. Don't foget to order the spout if you get the cans. I took a trip to Moab and filled up here, in MN, and when I got to Moab the cans had expanded enough where I couldn't get them out of my home made racks, two to a rack, and had to unload them from the roof rack, set them upright and open them to release the pressure. It was messy and I smelled like gas for a while. Then they slid right out. They didn't leak under that really high pressure.

If you feel uneasy about ordering used, ask about their returm policy and what happens if they leak, before you order. I used to be a photographer for Sportsman's Guide and though the owner is an a****** alchohlic they have a pretty good return policy. Good luck they are great cans.
