If your top speed is limited by engine power (as opposed to hitting the rev limiter) then a turbo will increase your top speed.
It'll also reduce the time taken to get there.

...i couldn't get over 65mph-70 steady no matter wind and grade.

True, but he said that it didn't matter with wind or other factors. The turbo WILL help greatly on power and torque. If it's hill climbing power the turbo will help, if it's pushing through the wind the turbo will help but simple top end speed, the turbo will NOT help.

Just as long as your top speed wasn't limited by over rev'ing. As no turbo will help that.

Like i said i want to be able to maintain speed,

I run 34" tire with stock 4.11. I guess i could even reach 80mph.

I did the flip of the stock manifold and just welded the Garrett turbo right onto the manifold. no cracking other then the truck frame. it is a cheap upgrade $40 for the turbo, $200 for exaust and intake, 27 for airfilter and $$??? hose and hoseclamps and some rubber fittings from canadian tire to get the 2 1/2" pipe to fit the Garrett turbo and bam i can pass people. total fab time for me 4 beer 3 joints and 2 hrs.

good luck
