Garage door opener

I have been unsuccessful pairing my wife’s rear view mirror garage door opener to our garage door following the instructions in the owners manual.
She has a 2019. Have any of you had a similar issue and can offer suggestions. Might be time to buy a new door opener.

I learned this the hard way....The instructions differ for old style door and the rolling code doors. I even wrote an email to Chamberlain, the opener company, who pretty much pointed out my dummy mistake.

I should have been more specific. We do not have the actual garage door opener for this door. I tried to pair the garage door opener and car by using the learn function on the garage door opener.

We do not have the remote for this garage door opener.

I had to go buy a garage door remote since mine went missing. Once that remote was programmed, the mirror programmed easily from the remote.

If you have a keypad opener, you can use that as a pairing remote as well.

Rusty87, thanks for the tip. As I was discussing the situation with my wife, my son “remembered” where a garage door opener was located. Threw in a new 2032 and had the rear view mirror programmed in about 10 minutes. Just in time for our coldest night of the year, mid 30s. Wifey happy.
