I don't know anything about cars. But this special 2001 Toyota caught my eye. There is some magic inside. He's been through so much, and deserves a second chance at life. Kelly (restorationsector.com) says this will be the easiest restoration job of his life, which works great for me. It all starts with a new engine and associated guts, tires, and freshly upholstered leather seats. Keeping the color - 1C3 River Rock Green Mica. Thinking about adding a snorkel. SO IT BEGINS!

Wow! Welcome here and have fun learning about it!

Welcome! Did the truck come with a replacement engine and interior? What happened to the original engine?

Congratulations. While the motor is out it is best to fully inspect your brake booster assembly and all associated brake line parts for rust and service them. Rear main seal is also a good idea to get that serviced. Enjoy your first Toyota in good health. Major score.

Thanks! @kelly saad is restoring it, and he found the replacement engine, tires, and new leather upholstery. He knows an awesome mechanic here in Flagstaff that is planning to switch the engine out - he took a peek today and confirmed it was not the timing belt. So I'm not sure yet...

Thanks! I'm excited about it. I will tag @kelly saad so he can pass your suggestions on to his mechanic that will be working on it...

@kelly saad is good people - you will be happy with his work. I tell all my friends to keep their cruiser stock as long as they can. Only modify based on your needs. Every modification comes with its own compromises.
