School me. How is this fzj70 a 1985 model if the 1fz-fe & 1fz-f engine did not come into play 'till 1992 iirc?

It is a 05/1994 so not a legal import.

Decode the vin number folks, especially before dropping $20+k on a truck!!

In the description, the ad claims that it was a US embassy truck prior to being imported to the US (Texas). In that case, it is possible that it was legally imported?

If it’s a previous gov vehicle sold at auction I would think it is leagal to drive on the roads, unless notice was given at auction otherwise.

So much nonsense in the ad. Its amphibian, its an 85 ,its a v6. So called restoration forgot the the knackered suspension. I notice the resto photos don't show what the body was like before it was painted.
You might get to see the bondo pop out as it gets crushed.

I do like the rear seating configuration though, a bit uncommon.
