I had randomly asked if the new company manufacturing the new and improved version of the ox locker was planning on making anything for the early land cruisers. This is the response I received...

We are currently working on the Toyota 8" but I think that you have a either
a 12 bolt or 10 bolt
not the 8"...

I've got an '82 fj40. I read a positive review about how the new company has addressed the quality control issues of locking and unlocking the diffs. The manual/analog nature of this appeals to me. My read of the email its that the 8" is still in development and so it wouldn't be listed on their website yet. It looks like I'm out of luck :P I'm leaning towards aussie vs. Arb for simplicity and cost, but I also would like selectibility.

You may want to move this over to the 40-series board.
Good luck!

Thanks. There's not any new information to report to the lc crowd. I just thought someone here might be interested in knowing that ox has something in the works for the 8".

Cool, thanks for the heads up... always liked the idea, we'll see if it pans out.

Edit: Betcha' it's a cable operated E-locker mod...
