I've had the same tires for a little over a year. They have been great. Excellent on road snow traction, great in heavy rain, and the ride is tighter and quieter than the Michelin LTX's that I previously had on. I've done some light offroading/rocks and they were pretty good for an A/T tire, although they will fill up in the mud. IMO the best a/t tire out there for a dd.

I would have to agree on the above statement. I have put 10K on mine and they have performed flawlessly. It is amazing what they do in heavy rains on the interstate. Best mod so far for me...

Local guy is an idiot. 33x11" on a 10" rim is fine, go find someone not as stupid. Although it will look goofy.

why will it look goofy? will the tire not be as effective? will performance be compromized?

It will work better in soft stuff, like sand, but the sidewall and rim will be more exposed to damage from rocks, roots, etc. than it would be if mounted on the proper sized rim.

thanks. i think the MTR comes in a 33x12.5x16... i will go wtih those.

Update: The tires are 3 years 9 months old. Still running strong. Though, they will soon need replacements soon enough.

Just got back from a 2 week 2300 mile roadtrip. One of the stops included Moab. The tires handled like champs.

In addition to many mini excursions, each year since I bought the tires I've taken an extended 2-3 week vacation each of which included lengthy (offroad) expeditions. The tires never once let me down, and are worth every penny I paid. I'm convinced I'll replace these tires with the same exact type. If you're ever in the market for tires, seriously consider purchasing the Revo's.

Updated update: Finally getting around to replacing these tires (about a year later than I said I would). They've taken much more abuse than I imagined they would.

Gee, the price of these tires have gone up. One independent Firestone place in San Diego quoted me $260/tire! I'll call a few more places to see about prices.

Just got off the Bridgestone site and the 285/75R16's are still there. Got a good scare...

Sizes and Specifications

Firestone isn't always the best place to go for pricing. At least in my neck of the woods. Given the reality that the tires are discontinued, supply and demand takes precedence.

Firestones having a labor day sale. Incredible prices on the Revos. Won't last long. Get it while you can.

OK, I'll bite. How much per tire?

I priced them a couple weeks ago at $276 per tire. Manager of the store said wait until the labor day sale. Went to Firestone and now getting them for $172.99 per tire Monday.

25% off lifetime alignment.

38% off per tire.

Got my 285 Revos at Firestone Tires on Labor Day at $25 off per tire (originally 192.99 - 25.00 = 167.99), but I had to get them installed and insured there.

I told him I wanted to buy the tires and I was going to install them myself, but he said the sale was a package deal that needed installation and road hazard insurance.

I know it's a sham, but I plan to get them rotated every 5k since the store is about 1 mile from my house and adjacent to a nice mall. Balance and rotation are included as a lifetime benefit.

This is why I prefer Costco, but they won't install bigger tires than what's recommended by the manufacturer.

Got mine for $172.99/tire installed plus road hazard insurance. Also got lifetime alignment. What a deal!

Was your out the door price $172.99/tire? If that's the case, that was a deal. I had to pay for taxes, installation, and road hazard insurance (no alignment since the 80s don't need alignment).
