Fuel tank drain?

My piggy has been sitting for 3 years (just bought it)... I'm about to get it fired up but would like to drain the old gas out first.

SO... is there drain bolt or do I have to drop the tank to do so?

have you looked underneath the tank? should be a drain plug in the tank.

spare is in the way... I didnt want to waste my time dropping the tire if there wasnt a plug anyway not to mention I cant look at it for a few hours.

The tank and tire carrier are very easy to remove. All you need is a jack and a socket wrench. Old gas can resemble napalm over time so you might want to clean that sucka and the lines out. When I got my first 55 it came with gelatenous gas stuff in the tank lines.

The drain will be at the front driver side edge of the tank.

In theory, the tank is easy to remove. However, if the bolts holding it up are rusted on, it is anything but.
