Fuel rail banjo bolt question

Long story short I broke the fuel dampner off in my fuel rail. I have read on a couple other threads that I can buy a an fitting and swap out the hose and move away from using a fuel dampner. My question is can I buy a banjo bolt ( m14x1.5) and just use that instead of the fuel dampner and use my old fuel hose?

I have a pile of EFI parts from an '89 intake. Happy to mail you the fuel rail and banjo bolt, if that solves your problem. Pretty sure it didn't have a dampener from the factory, but I can check in a couple hours.

Edit: Nope, no dampener. Just a bolt for the hose.
